The App shows you the most urgent needs. You can find us on there under “Ash Villages Fod Parcels Project”. Dnations can be dropped off at St Mary’s or The Chapel whenever we are open, or in the dedicated donations baskets at Ash Vale Co-op and Ash Manor School. Thank you for your support!
The Ash Villages Food Parcels Project started as a covid-19 support initiative but has grown to become the local Foodbank for Ash, Ash Vale, Ash Green and Tongham. We have seen huge need in recent times, with 4,600 people being supported in 2025 and more expected in 2026. Ash Wharf is the 19th most deprived area in Surrey (out of 709 areas), with a lot of local people struggling with the cost of living, and tipping into crisis when other challenges hit. Your help means that no-one in our community ever needs to go to bed hungry. What an amazing community to live in – thank you for your support! #AshVillagesFoodParcelsProject #LoveWhereWeLive #Community #AshVale
The Ash Vale Community Fridge ……is open to all, 24/7 and you can find it at The Chapel project in our Community Shed in the car park. Give what you can, take what you need. It’s for everyone in the community, to reduce food waste. (more news in the blog posts below) #AshValeCommunityFridge

The Community Fridge project was generously supported by Hubbub & Co-op, who enabled us to purchase the Community Fridge and the Community Shed and set everything up. Foodbank funding and donating for our food parcels: We are hugely grateful to all our supporters. This year in 2026 we have already received donations and grants from Ash Parish Council, Blackwater Valley Rotary, The Womens Institute at St Mary’s in Ash, the ASPIRE fund, generous donors at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Ash Community Dinner, Dave’s New Year’s Quiz at the Victoria Hall, many generous private donors, kind neighbours, online fundraising, and amazing churches, businesses, schools and community groups who have all contributed to make this very important work possible. Can you manage a regular donation? Planned giving helps us to plan the project – every penny counts! Please keep your support coming if you can. We have more people in need than ever. In 2025 we fed 4,600 people, this year we are forecasting 5,000 will need help. You, our supporters, are the ones who make this all possible, thank you!
More thank yous: We would like to thank Ash Vale Co-op, Tesco Lysons Avenue, Tesco Aldershot and Bookers in Aldershot for their donations of short dated fresh food items each week, Hallmark Vending who often donate treats and snacks, local veg growers and allotment tenders who donate their excess produce, and our lovely army of awesome volunteers who make it all happen. (Scroll down in the news section below to see more about our news, volunteers, fundraising, supporters, the team and what we do, and a shout out for each club, school and company!)
Eco-Opportunities! Please donate us your carrier bags / bags for life / shopping bags to save us from having to buy plastic bags to deliver the food parcels in! We also need small egg boxes that take 6 or 10 eggs (we don’t need larger ones thank you!). Pop them in the community shed any time you are passing the Chapel car park on Wharf Rd (near the doctors). We will be very glad to re-use them! Thank you!
